….and Rainbow Sherbet DSP!

The stamp camp that I held in Joliet yesterday featured this decorated tin box and ensemble of cards.  We had a lot of fun decorating the tin and the ladies loved the bright colors from the Rainbow Sherbet designer series paper! I have to thank Jill Hilliard for her inspiration on this project.  Last fall, Jill featured the same type of box (a punch box from Stampin’ Up!) on her blog along with many cards, baskets, etc.  Shortly after, Stampin’ Up! announced they were selling more of the tins, so I decided to purchase some of them, thinking I would wait until the beginning of this year to use them in a stamp camp (I bought them right before Christmas and knew I wouldn’t have time for them then!).  So here we are!  I was pleased with the results and the ladies loved the cards!  I’ll be doing the same stamp camp in my home in two weeks – can’t wait!  The colors in the Rainbow Sherbet paper are so light and fresh and gave us all hope that spring may be near!!  I’ll add more details tomorrow, for now, here are close-ups of the tin & cards.

Update on products used!: I really made use of my Big Shot dies for this project and had a fun time doing it!  I even got my husband involved in helping cut everything out for the stamp camp!  The multi-colored flower on top of the tin was made using the Darling Daisies #2 Big Shot die (item #114520 in the Stampin’ Up! catalog). I ran three different colored cardstock through it for the multi-colored flower, then attached them together using a build-a-brad (haven’t used them in awhile!).  For the front of the tin, I punched different sized and patterned circles and attached them together with the Flower Assortment brads.

This next card was made using Apricot Appeal and Whisper White cardstock.  The butterfly was cut out using another Big Shot die – the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Butterfles die (item # 114507).  I love the look this gives to cards!  The ribbon is the new Whisper White Organza Ribbon (item #114319)….isn’t it beautiful?

This card was made using the Stampin’ Up! Scallop Envelope (item #113462) Big Shot die and then slipping some cardstock inside for the message.  I pulled out my green bead duo for this card too.  Everyone liked the different look it added!

The Stampin’ Up! Top Note Big Shot die (item #113463) was used for this card – I told you I really put those die’s to good use!  And I used more of the flowers that we had cut out using the Darling Daisies #2 Big Shot die.  They were attached to the Top Note with Filigree brads.
