My Weekend Away with the Girl Friends….

I had a fun, relaxing weekend away with several girlfriends! We went to a place in Wisconsin called The Scrapbook Manor.  This is (I think) my sixth year to go there (it’s less than an hour from my home) and I go to just stamp, stamp and stamp (and eat and sleep, too!). They serve the most wonderful meals and snacks!   I have other friends that focus on their scrapbooking and some that like to focus on their card-making, but it’s just a fun way to spend a weekend.

While there, my friend Betsy and I each made a Fall Wreath using the Spice Cake DSP, some coordinating cardstock and a lot of embellishments!  The lighting on these pictures wasn’t great, but I think you can still see how beautiful they turned out to be with this gorgeous paper. We cut a ring out of the thin cardboard that comes with the Designer Series Paper pack and used that for the base.

This is Betsy Crang’s wreath (below).  We had SO much fun!

Made with the Simply Scored Tool!  Love that tool!

Spice Cake DSP
Spice Cake Buttons
Soft Suede 1 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon
Coordinating Cardstock

A glue gun was used to assemble the lollies (rosettes, whatever you want to call them!) and attach to the ring.
