Have A Wicked Halloween!
The mini lunch sacks in the 2010 Holiday Mini are perfect for little treat bags for any occasion and this one is sure to provide someone with a spooky treat!
I love the scallop trim on the top of the bag and it coordinates great with the Stampin’ Up! scallop edge border punch. It was fun creating this one for Halloween and here’s a few tips for how it was done:
- Fold the bottom of the bag up in the middle, so the thick part is only about 1 1/8" wide (not like the bag is normally folded).
- If you’re going to use an embossing folder on the bag, only put the bag through the folder up to the thick part shown here and only feed through the Big Shot up to that point (the thick part WILL NOT feed through the Big Shot so you’ll need to put it in reverse!)
- I had to use a few pieces of cardboard together in place of one of the clear plates for the Big Shot because both clear plates together were too thick and cut the bag when embossed.
- I made the spider by using one of the black glitter brads (I LOVE these!) and some 3mm black pipe cleaners. This probably took the longest time in winding them around the brad and then sticking it on the bag. After attaching the pipe cleaner ‘legs’ to the brad, I bent the brad back, then used a Pop-up glue dot (retired SU! item) to attach it to the bag.
