House of Haunts

I made this card for a recent swap & meeting I attended in the area.  I thought it was time for Halloween!  I didn’t make much in the way of cards last year for Halloween, but somehow got the bug this year.  And the new In Colors are great for Halloween cards or projects!  I decided on the House of Haunts stamp set for this card.

  • Crushed Curry ink was used for the spooky house and stamped on Crushed Curry cardstock.  I then inked up the tree with Versamark and stamped it to the left of the house and embossed it in black embossing powder.  I wanted to give the house the illusion of being further away in the background.

  • I then layered the Crushed Curry cardstock with Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie on top of the Basic Black card base.

  • Tie the 1 1/4" striped Pumpkin Pie ribbon around it (I love this ribbon!  It’s so soft and yummy!), and you’re almost done.

  • The Happy Halloween was inked up with Versamark and stamped on Pumpkin Pie cardstock, then embossed with black embossing powder.  It was punched out with the Scallop Oval punch.  Layer that with an oval of Basic Black cardstock punched out with the Wide Oval punch and you’re finished!
